OK guys, the bloke might be an absolute S**T, but when did that become a valid reason to take the piss out of his disability?

As a person with a sever physical disability - one that nearly prevented me from working at any meaningful job, I can tell you from personal experience that laughter is the best tonic for a cripple like me. It keeps me sane, keeps things in perspective and prevents me from feeling sorry for myself. Should I dwell on the negative, let someone calling me a cripple get to me or loose my sense of humor, I wouldn't be able to survive.

the fact that this guy is a Muslim, the fact he has no right hand is quit ironic. cutting off the right hand for theft is a sever punishment under Sahria law - it means that he is outcast from eating from the community plate. The left hand is used to clean one's self after defecation.

Besides, political correctness is being carried to such silly extremes these days it should be rethought. Some things are hurtful - but they are few and far between and usually have a LONG historical context.

the fact a fried calls me "Gimpy" is actually a compliment to me. he knows that i am comfortable enough with my situation that there is no need to defend anything.

If we were criticising his religion then that would be worse than criticising his disability. Religious problems come with centuries of Historical bagage. It is like comparing criticising someone because they have ginger hair with calling a black guy the N word. The magnitude is greater due to historical context.

OK, so I'm a hypocrite, but I can't resist this.
"As a person with a sever physical disability " Sorry JimBob, you may have a severe disability, but Abu Hamza's is  more sever.

Being sensible for a moment, criticising anyone for something that they can do nothing about is pointless.

I do not know how his hand got lost but if it was through his own actions then we can criticise that but not if he had a disease or accident not of his own making. Likewise, we can't criticise his being a muslim as he's born into it and it's difficult to get out but we can criticise the uses he puts it to...and so on.

There are 2 theories that seem popular to explain his lack of hands. He lost them while digging out mines laid by the Russians or he lost them because some barbaric people cut them off.

Which is the funny version?
I don't seem to get this joke.
