What is that bloated feeling ?
« on: 29/12/2004 20:15:02 »
To the tune of " You've lost that loving feeling "'

You never mince your pies anymore when I lick my lips.
And there's no tenderness like before in your turkey drumstick tips.
You're trying hard not to swallow it, (baby).
But baby, baby I know it...

What is that bloated feeling ?
Wooah..that bloated feeling
What is that bloated feeling,
In my tum, tum, tum ?.....wo-oa-oh....phwoarrrr !!! (throws up !!)

Ok...enuf of that !!...it all makes perfect sense to me anyway...but,..there is a real question here.............
You know the feeling.........you've eaten way too much...and you are extremely uncomfortable !!...what is it exactly that is making you uncomfortable ?..is it a lot of gas ?...the pressure of too much food in your stomach pushing againt your tummy walls ?...what is it ?...and besides chucking up carrot stew...is there a quick and effective remedy ?....hope you all had a good one.

My tummy thanks you..

I always thought it was the food distending the stomach - its only little, and shouldn't really take the abuse we throw at it every day (but especially at this time of year!)

apparently the stomach is about the size of a fist, and I know most people eat a lot more than that in one sitting. also, the more you eat, the more you stretch your stomach, so the more you need next time before the 'I'm full' signals are generated, so your eat more and more and more .....

Thanks Lindsay.....I never knew the stomach was the size of a fist !!..oh boy !!..mine must have been stretched to the size of the Jolly Green Giants fist during this festive period !!....do you think it's safe to assume that tummy can return to usual size if willpower and correct diet is applied ?
