I think it is not something that we can do automatically but can learn with practice, people who lose the use of their hands can learn the skill of writing with their feet.
it is rather like the ability to wink your eyes separately which I taught myself to do !

Jessie asked? And how would Jessie describe it? We, of course, dont have full control over our toes, we lost that ability as it morphed into a walking limb more than a grabbing one. If some can, well... that is truly weird, unless you suffered some disability that forced you into years of practise, like losing the arms or getting them paralyzed.
