Why does it sting or hurt when you feel you are going to sneeze, and then don't? Does it have to do with the anterior ethmoidal or nasopalatine nerves? Middle meatus area... I don't know. I am not a doctor... yet.  []

There is not one thing on the internet anywhere else about it, except one other post here from 2004 and people started talking about corn flakes. So seriously, what causes it to happen?

I'm guessing that its because your nose is irritated, which is why you sneeze in the first place, so if you don't manage to sneeze the irritants out, then your nose gets even more irritated so it hurts. []
