well both causes infection nd viruses requirs host cell to infect [::)] w/c bacteria wont nd strutrally both r differnt  [???]

Yes, they are.

Viruses are not cells, but have a protein coat or capsid, surrounding a nucleic acid. In some viruses the nucleic acid is DNA (eg hepatitis B virus), in others it is RNA (eg HIV). In some viruses, the capsid is surrounded by an envelope of liquid and proteins, derived from the plasma membrane of the previous host cell.

Some do, some don't. Not ALL cause infection. Otherwise we'll all be dead.
