Why are not stars attracted by planets or the sun? And do stars have an attraction (as the sun has)?

All material things in the universe attract all other material things. But distances are so great and gravity diminishes as the inverse square of distance, we only notice the attraction when objects are relativity close. So the short answer is that all stars attract each other but the distance between them is so great that it is difficult to notice it.
