Super-strong micro-fiber quest!
« on: 06/01/2010 20:10:13 »
What is the strongest polymer that can be produced as a  0.001" (0.025mm) fiber? I know that aramids (such as Kevlar) and UHMWPE (such as Spectra) are among the strongest polymer fibers, but I haven't yet found anyone who can make them in long fibers as small as 0.001" (0.025mm).
