Help!  My friends are off on a new health craze again!  [] I've heard conflicting reports on taking this product internally (2 drops in a cup of water) to increase the  oxygen in the blood. I read getting it on skin can burn or in eyes causing blindness, taking it internally casing brain damage.  I searched this site specifically for Hydrogen Peroxide 35% to no avail. 

Can someone give me the straight scoop?

Your friends are both wasting their money and putting themselves at risk.
35% H2O2 will definitely burn skin and eyes if it comes into contact with them.

A few drops diluted in a cup of water won't do any harm; but it won't do any good either.
If that tiny bit more oxygen was helpful the body would have developed slightly bigger lungs.

Isn't hydrogen peroxide a disinfectant?

Here in Hungary you can get it in a pharmacy without prescription. You buy it if you go to a longer hiking in the forest or hills, and you can drink the springwater if you drop the hyperol tablet in it.

It wont do them harm if they use it properly, but it certainly isn't good for boosting blood-oxigene level. It just cleanses water (or anything that you put into the water, like medical equipment).
