My lady friend and I will be staying in several motels this weekend. How can we protect ourselves from the curse of the bedbug?

I wonder if there is a spray ewe can buy to spary on the bedding....it's either that or purchase a rubber sheet to place beneath the sheets....You may wish to take your own pillows ! !

Gosh !!..how many motels is ' several'..in one weekend ?

A rubber sheet! ...not bad as a first iteration...suppose I  bring my REI "huba huba" tent (with ground cloth) and set it up on the "king size" bed which motels love? It's the closest thing to camping that she would ever accept....
