I learned today that one single sperm holds 37.5MB data !...now that's quite a lot considering how small they are ............Now the typical male ejaculate lasts circa 3 seconds that's a hell of a lot of data transfer !..about 1403808 gigabytes

Depends how many bits in your byte ...

Various implementations of C and C++ define a byte as 8, 9, 16, 32, or 36 bits.

Unless you're 17 the 'buffering' process per transfer tends to take quite while though []

That still strikes me as being a bit small. How do we "normalize" genetic "bits" with computer binary "bits"?

Am I correct in thinking a genetic "bit" can have one of four possible states, whereas an electronic "bit" usually only has two possible states?
