Photographing it will require either an ultra-wide angle lens (~80^o diagonal field-of-view) , or rapid-fire multi-exposure digitally-stitched together "montage", (which was what was done above) .

The diameter of a circular rainbow ring always subtends the viewer's eye at at an angle of 42^o : moving back does not make the rainbow appear smaller.

So to photograph it all-at-once you need a lens with a horizontal and vertical angles of view of at least 42^o , which is ultra-wideangle , which can be expen$ive.

Digitally stitching images together taken with a regular lens is a cheaper option.
