Feedback: Christmas Breathalyzer test

JAM asked the Naked Scientists:
Chris The officer conducting the breathalyzer tests on your show made a false statement. The instrument, as stated, is a screening device, which means the results lack the accuracy to support a conviction. Therefore, the instrument can produce both false positives and false negatives. If it did not produce false results there would be no need for additional testing. One of the most import issues with regard to any data collecting instrument is calibration. A breathalyzer that is not properly calibrated will produce readings all over the map. Happy Holidays
What do you think?
