Elizabeth Louw asked the Naked Scientists:
Hi Naked Scientists,
A mythconception for you that I've been thinking about: I've been told by a few people that after opening a bottle of sparkling wine (such as Champagne) you can prevent the wine from going "flat" by hanging a spoon in the neck of the bottle.
So is this fact or fiction? And if fact, how does it work?
Thanks!
Elizabeth Louw - avid listener from South Africa
