How do you test for strep on surfaces?
« on: 23/09/2016 06:40:40 »
My 12 year old wants to do her science fair project on testing surfaces young kids touch for bacteria and more specifically for strep. Can anyone tell me how to test for strep on surfaces? I was hoping for a test kit of some kind, but when i contacted one of the companies that make home test kits for strep they said it would not work for samples on surfaces, just throat cultures. Any ideas or insights into how to make this project idea work for her will be greatly appreciated.
