I believe listening to music can decrease stress and anxiety while promoting higher levels of creativity.

When I was in the Navy, I worked with Computers, whereas before that I was Infantry in the Army (Tri-Service Veteran), but with the Navy the #1 thing we did as our job back then was known as Key Punching and when I was Key Punching, I always had my headphones on and cranked way high, AC-DC, Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel, and the likes, and I rocked on the keyboard, with a very low error ratio (less than 1%).
Now, today, I almost always have my earbuds in, while I'm online researching and writing, and it helps quite a bit to add music to your activities and the reason why things seem to flow better, while listening to music, is because it side-tracks your st00pid mind and allows you to flow more from your intelligent sub-conscious instead, since your sub-conscious is WAY smarter than you are; it knows EVERYTHING.

Music may increase dopamine levels in the ventral striatal/nucleus accumbens (NAc) by increasing cerebral blood flow (CBF). Caffeine may also stimulate dopamine release in the NAc, which may increase creative thinking.
