We've had this medical query come in from Tim:

Many years ago, I suffered a significant cut on the front of my right mid-thigh. On my left thigh I have since developed a group of small lateral veins that appear to mirror my scar. I believe they have developed as a result of my injury but my partner ribs me about it, saying it is nonsense. Who is right?

Any thoughts?
