Blue monday?
« on: 18/01/2024 09:19:38 »
Blue Monday was supposed to fall on the 15/1 this year and to be the most depressing time of year. For me this is not the case as daylight is increasing substantially and spring with all it's delights is on the horizon. Much more depressing to me is "black Friday" with it's ever shortening daylight coupled with rampant consumerism. I just wish it was not so damn cold!!

I'm finding the days to be warm with long hours of sunlight.

Not Blue Monday at all, Down Under!

Indeed, Evan_au, I am sure that is the case for you. However, I am here to remind you that with each passing day your hours of daylight are perceptibly decreasing and winter is on the way!!

Hi.

"Blue Monday" was a song released by the group "New Order" and it's considered a great piece of pop music.    Other than that I had never heard of it and had to go to Google.
Having returned from Google's explanation,  I would choose to ignore it, it's another day but I am going to find my copy of "Blue Monday" and play it now that's been put into my mind.

Best Wishes.

How can  Martin Luther King Day be depressing? It celebrates the brief candle of civilisation that once lit up the USA.

The depressing day is 20 January, when the US presidency is traditionally exchanged between a moron and a crook.
