Although this site has "CSI" in its title, it has links to the real McCoy

One of my old friends from way back has a son who spent several years in forensics. It is a hard job with a ton of mental anxiety. It really hurt him over the years. He went to the city to work their, but the acts of violence he seen were so horrifying that he had problems coping with it himself.. The horrific daunting job of seeing and having to gather evidence from crime scenes was overwhelming. this was happening at a time he and his wife were having their first and only child. It really shook him up the violence he had seen and mutilations of infants small children and others. He had been raised here . we have a high rate of crime for the size of this area but not really violent crime.. it has gotten worse as I have lost many family members to it. But being a forensic expert as he was the job fascinated him for the most part, but eventually drove him mad.. and he retired early having terrible nightmares and psychological problems to the point he was physically unable to cope. He is fine now and a terrific father but that job is far from easy ..it takes a very strong person and still it burns you out leaving many scars and effecting you for your whole life!
