I don't know if this is in the right spot so mods feel free to move it if it's not.
My kids just swallowed a handful of pop rocks and immediately chased it with soda. After swallowing them, they opened their mouths and I could clearly hear lots of popping sounds.
What is it in pop rocks that make that popping sound and is it as unhealthy as it sounds?

I tried to convince him of that, but he's just not that gullible anymore.
