In May 2008 I had my normal period which last 7 days.

It is normally Heavy due to the fact I have fibroids. I visit my Doctor and advice him about it and he gave me depo proven 350.

In June my period came on the 5th and until now It is still going on, I went back to my doctor on the 28.6.08 he gave Lucrin to stop the bleeding but to no avail.

I need it to stop because I have surgery to remove the fibrods 25.7.08 and It is very inconvienent. Please let me know your response.

Kaula, if you are not happy with what the doctor has done so far you should push to be referred onto a specialist. Doctors tend to throw drugs at problems. It may be that the fiberoids are causing the problem but whatever the trouble is it needs sorting. If your car had a persistant problem you would take it back to the garage until they fix it properly and you are more important than a car.
Sometimes you have to get tough with the medics.

Sorry to hear you are still bleeding - it's such a nuisance! Some women do get irregular bleeding with depo-provera.  Sometimes it settles down with time, but it may be the fibroids are not helping matters with you.  Fibroids increase the surface area of the uterus and can cause heavier periods as you have experienced. Your doctor then tried the lucrin, which aims to reduce the size of the fibroids and therefore the amount of bleeding prior to surgery.  It's not long to the surgery now, so I do hope things settle down for you.  It may be you just have to wait now for the surgery date.  I would however pop back to you doctor to chat with them about it (as they know all about you and your other medical history).  Good luck and do hope things are better once you have the fibroids removed.  Are you having a myomectomy (or hysterectomy)?

Check out John Lee MD on Natural Progesterone cream. My wife has had success with this, she no longer bleeds and the fibroids are shrinking.

Important not to use progestins or any synthetic versions. Go for a cream without any parabans in it as these are counter productive.

My wife has chosen not to have surgery but to use natural progesterone combined with agnus castus (chaste Berry) to greatly reduce her symptoms and fibroids and effectively prevent her from having periods. This has helped her so much we are in debt to John Lee et al for taking the time to investigate this and publish it for everyone to access.

Stinging nettle tea takes away the pain and prevents bleeding so get some today and have 2-3 cups a day to begin with, you can reuse the nettle bags also. Most health stores and some supermarket chains sell these. Its a nice drink too.

I agree with Sharon.. and you should push for another Dr. opinion if you are worried as we can only give opinions not qualified medical help.. I for one am not a Doctor.. but think you should seek out more medical help and then support from a forum.. and perhaps other questions that do not call for diagnosis over the net!
