True knowledge : have you tried it?
« on: 05/11/2008 22:31:13 »
Has anyone else tried the embryonic Trueknowledge search engine?
It attempts to 'understand' your question rather than just look for keywords (like Google etc). It could help you avoid "Buy Relativity - lowest prices", eventually.
If you register with the site you can see the basics of the search strategy. It has a long way to go but it is a fascinating site. Some of its responses to questions make you smile. They remind me of dealing with a young child. I guess it should / would.

This will be good if it works OK.

I do get a little frustrated when I type in say 'Tax information' and find the response "Buy tax information on eBay". Why should I want to buy tax information when I can gt it free buy scouring train carridges and pubs after some half-baked twit of a civil servant has left his memory stick for any casual passer by?

The forum is interesting and shows how much thought is going into it. It's nothing like as much fun as this one is. Very few loonies, for a start.

I'm sure I don't know what you mean by that....
