Why does sadness cause tears and why do we sob?
« on: 09/05/2009 10:00:28 »
I know stress from sadness causes tears to flow...but then something else happens .... deep deep sobbing ..uncontrollable deep sobbing.....

I am an emotional person but I do not understand how our emotions can cause such wrenching of our hearts...and physical side of the emotional triggers can hurt so badly that we then sob.... where does sobbing come from and what are the actual mechanisms or mechanics envolved in sobbing I have been sobbing for an hour now...  trying to stop... but just when I think I am ok  it starts again.... Why?

I think i explain in general,

when you depressed, feeling alone of your self & thinking of sad news personally... we cry naturally, and sob . one should think always positive, not always negative..
where our brain cells , generally genetically coded.. to do action right what you thinking, but i know some people are very emotional, it's quit common to every-body, to make feel,cry....

Quote
Studies have shown that emotional tears contain more manganese, an element that affects temperament, and more prolactin, a hormone that regulates milk production. Sobbing out manganese and prolactin is thought to relieve tension by balancing the body’s stress levels and eliminating build ups of the chemicals, making the crier feel better.

Thanks Ragavendra and C4M....

I posted in those threads.. but it is odd when you are in the muck... Still cying..My day was fairly decent.... but settling down and in at the end of the day sucks.... nothing on tv.. no conversation... music doesn't even remotely sound good it would just make it worse...
There is this botomless pit feling of emptiness at night... so quiet and alone..I really really HATE it!!
bu why does crying turn to sobs.. what causes that hard sobbing..its like out of control...crying...can't breathe nose is completely blocked whole front of my gown is sopped wet....can't catch my breath...It feels terrible...
