Can radiation from computers (such as wireless) be harmful?
« on: 13/06/2008 05:23:43 »
you know how they've said that cellphone radiation can be bad and pausibly cause cancer?  Is this a concern with wireless computers that we sit with on our laps for hours?  Is the radiation that comes into a wirless computer of the frequency that can cause bodily harm?

No. And if you're worried about this because of the recent popular youtube video of popcorn being popped with 4 mobile phones don't worry, that was a hoax.

Thermal radiation, a.k.a. heat, from laptop computers could reduce male fertility...

Men who use laptop computers could be unwittingly damaging their fertility, experts believe.
Balancing it on the lap increases the temperature of the scrotum which is known to have a negative effect on sperm production, researchers found.

Coupled with the rising popularity of these computers - about 150m people use them worldwide - much more research is needed say the US authors.

The State University of New York findings appear in Human Reproduction
