My guess is that the idea that technology is of great benefit will have a lot of support on this website and I would agree with this. However, with knowledge comes power and with power comes responsibility. This is the area where we all need to develop. The danger is that we can (and do) develop technologies before we have any understanding of their overall impact on the world as a whole.
