Is there more than one form of flu jab?

Hi folks,
Several years ago in Brazil I had a flu jab (connected with my other post).
The consultant told me that there were two vaccines, one of which was made in France and she felt was superior.
Is that still the case, or was she talking nonsense? Which do the pharmacies and NHS use?
TIA
