World Environment Day

Tuesday 5 June is the United Nations' annual World Environment Day. Its theme for 2006 is the spread of deserts, one possible effect of climate change.

The Climate Chaos season on BBC TV and radio continues with editions of Panorama and the Money Programme as well as David Attenborough's assessment of how human society can adjust to, and perhaps reduce, its impact on planet Earth.
