The taste of fruit juice

Why is it that fruit juices are more enjoyable when drunk from a glass than from a cup with a handle on it?

Hmm, is there a difference in the width of openings of the glasses and cups?  A lot of our sense of taste has to do with our sense of smell.

I do find that - its not as nice from a plastic 'glass', I'm sure there is a subtle difference in the smell of glass and plastic, even if you'd think there isn't any smell. or maybe the acid in the fruit juice reacts with plstic and not glass?

I find it is harder to gulp beverages out of a mug because of its wider brim, also ceramic has a pretty distinctive taste and smell... I avoid them at all costs. And I water can only drink water from a real glass glass, no plastic. But juices, doesn't matter as long as it isnt a mug... weird eh

All our senses are interlinked. People who are blindfolded folded it hard to even taste the difference between raw onion and apple or potato. The glass offers a better visual stimulus to increase the sensory experiences.  This has to play some part in what you are talking about.
