First identify what it is that is exacerbating the change in climate. The climate is going to change, whether we like it or not. If it is a manageable change then all types of life can adapt. If we hurry it along then that is bad.

If we stop farming meat, we will reduce the amount of anthropogenic carbon dioxide by around 25% and increase the planet's capacity for sequestering the stuff, without reducing anyone's standard of living.

I don't think it will make any difference to the climate, and because so much government policy and so many parasitic careers depend on the belief than CO2 causes climate change, no intergovernmental organisation can possibly agree to do the experiment.

The best way to reduce all anthropogenic effects is to reduce the human population by making fewer babies. This will produce a general increase in the standard of living but again there are too many influential parasites whose livelihood depends on the scarcity of resources and an evergrowing "economy".

It's not so much meat per se, it's mainly if we just reduced our intake of beef, there's a huge reduction in CO2 output. Things like chicken aren't nearly so bad for the environment. There's a documentary on this called COWSPIRACY, and it's touched on here:

In order to effectively address global warming, we must significantly reduce the amount of heat-trapping emissions we are putting into the atmosphere.

The good news is that we have the technology and practical solutions at hand to accomplish it.

As individuals, we can help by taking action to reduce our personal carbon emissions. But to fully address the threat of global warming, we must demand action from our elected leaders to support and implement a comprehensive set of climate solutions:

    <li>Expand the use of renewable energy and transform our energy system to one that is cleaner and less dependent on coal and other fossil fuels.</li>
    <li>Increase vehicle fuel efficiency and support other solutions that reduce U.S. oil use.</li>
    <li>Place limits on the amount of carbon that polluters are allowed to emit.</li>
    <li>Build a clean energy economy by investing in efficient energy technologies, industries, and approaches.</li>
    <li>Reduce tropical deforestation and its associated global warming emissions.</li>
</ul>
