This seems to be the latest thing for reducing pain - especially back pain. Does anyone know anything about it or know someone who tried it?

Might be worth reading this

Although called cold laser it appears to work in a similar way to local heating, I suspect like cold/heat therapies it is supposed to stimulate blood flow. There are easier and cheaper ways to do that.

Thanks. I read it. Seems it doesn't have much support. i did read some things on Google about it but they were mostly ads and so very favourable.
