Can Google Earth provide detailed images of caves in the Grand Canyon?
« on: 24/05/2020 23:17:15 »
I am doing a project for my College and I am out of recourses with pictures. I should add some online illustrations of Grand Canyon. I was trying to use Google Earth, but there are not enough structured details of caves there and high quality photos. Do you know any tools there to see more or maybe other options?

The National Parks Service has virtual tours of many of the parks, including the Grand Canyon, which may be useful: https://www.nps.gov/grca/learn/photosmultimedia/virtualtour.htm

You can get a little from Google earth if you know how.
1 it has a timeline bar a sort of grey button in middle top left of the frame so when you get to near the ground press it and a slider control appears notched with generally at least a few years.
2. On the corner app menu "view" has a scale legend entry.
3. You can switch of roads 3D etc to be able to see better.
4 App bar menu has ability to save place marks after right click on the marker you get.
5. Corner menu can save the app window view contents as image to drive.
6. Options frame for app config you can set to not tilt while zooming on the "navigation" tab.
7. Hold mouse down and flick the image along once and the image will self scroll continuous if you uncheck the box in "navigation" for - gradually slow earth after flight or jouyrney.
