It is what makes getting out of bed worthwhile. Practically every civilised society has a version of a blood pudding, and significant restrictions on gun ownership. Including the civilised part of North America (cherchez le boudin, mon ami).

If you want weird, try chitlins with hush puppies. Or lutefisk. Great American staples, usually paired with Gatorade or lukewarm hyphenated tea.

You want weird?, how about fugu, the Japanese dish from puffer fish. This can contain enough tetrodotoxin to cause tingling of the lips or death by respiratory failure. Fugu chefs are required to be licensed by law, as incompetent preparation can aggravate toxicity.
