Half Sheet Papertowels..
« on: 22/07/2007 01:58:34 »
I know some famous science guy didn't invent these, but I'm certain that some mom out there gave this idea to a paper-towel company.

Does anyone know who this person, now RICH person, is?

Thanks, Sim!

possibly a nameless person in the cost cutting department. Did you know that many people write in to big firms with ideas to save them money?

Off the top of my head i can think of two:

one was pickles, someone suggested that by putting one less pickle in the jar, the company could save a fortune - they went with the idea and the guy with it got a nice cheque.

The other was a razor company. a person wrote in and said he noticed that their premoulded case for the blades was bigger than need be, it could hold 5 but you only got 3, they changed their mold, saved on cost and again the gut got a nice cheque.

so get thinking.

Sweet. I'll have to start thinking. Thanks Paul!

The one i always think about, is the small bags you get with you washing powder tablets. They include one in every box, why don't they have a big basket full of them and if you need one, you take one. no need to included one in every box.

There are drawbacks, ofcourse and it possibly will not save them money in the long run. But get thinking Sim, and remember me when the cheque arrives.
