POST 1/2
This is a revised version of the OP, following some reflection and feedback. The core idea remains the same, but I've worked to clarify and focus the argument. I was not able to revise it earlier due to reasons beyond my control.

DOES ETERNAL ENERGY WITH AWARENESS EXIST?
                                                              By Suhail Jalbout
Introduction
I have often wondered if energy, the power behind everything that exists, might also possess some form of awareness. This idea may seem impossible at first, but the more I think about it, the more intriguing?and perhaps even plausible?it becomes. The concept of eternal energy is often linked to religious beliefs, which science typically overlooks due to lack of tangible evidence. Yet, the possibility of such energy existing outside any religious context remains largely unexplored scientifically. This article presents a hypothesis that explores the possibility of such eternal energy with awareness. It is left to the reader to reflect on this concept and form their own perspective.

I come from a religious family where I was taught the values of turning the other cheek, forgiving and forgetting. These principles have shaped my life, and I continue to apply them. However, my curiosity was sparked as I delved deeper into science during my High School years and during my graduate and postgraduate engineering studies at universities. I noticed a significant gap between what religion teaches and what science questions. Religion is based on faith, while science is grounded in proof. This contrast, between belief and evidence, always intrigued me and led to explore a possible reconciliation?especially regarding the origin of our universe.

I recall in one of our engineering lectures, the professor described energy as the ability to do work. It comes in many forms: thermal, electrical, chemical, kinetic, nuclear, and so on. He added that energy cannot be created or destroyed only transformed. This foundational principle?conservation of energy?stuck with me. If energy is eternal, where did it originally come from?

Decades later, this question still lingers in my mind. The most prevailing cosmological description for the origin of our universe is the Big Bang theory. However, it is not clear as to how the Big Bang Black Hole (BBBH) came about initially nor the origin of its contents. Energy must have existed prior to its formation otherwise it could not have existed. As I reflect on the birth of our universe, I consider the moment before the Big Bang. There was no mass, motion, time or space?only energy. This implies that if there is no energy nothing exists. But was this just raw, passive energy? Or could it have contained something more?some form of awareness that shaped the evolution of the universe? .

To bridge the gap between religion and science, I ventured to come up with an equation for energy and mass, that could possibly satisfy both, after answering the following two key questions:

1.   Did energy exist from eternity?
2.   Does energy have awareness?

Eternal Energy: Always Existed
I have posted  previously a hypothesis on the Naked Scientists Forum titled ?Origin of our Universe?, please refer to pages (1) and (3) reply (#54) or to point (3) in the below ?Conclusions and Implications? section.^1 The conclusion indicated that BBBHs may form universes and universes, in turn, may form BBBHs. This phenomenon leads to a complete close loop implying that energy always existed and shifts between two forms. Since energy and mass are interrelated, then matter, too, has existed from eternity. In fact, Einstein?s equation E = mc^2 does not only inform us that energy is mass, but it also suggests that energy and mass are the fundamental entities that have always existed. They have existed from eternity because energy can neither be created nor destroyed.^2

The question ?where did energy come from or how it came to be?? is meaningless. For if we assume that it was created by a creator, we can then ask: who created the creator? The answer will be a creator that creates but is not created. It was mentioned above that ?energy cannot be created nor destroyed?, so, the initial uncreated energy may be called   ?the eternal energy?.

Eternal Energy with Awareness: Connecting Matter and Awareness
Humans have a deep-rooted need to lean on something greater than themselves?a need that has persisted since the dawn of civilization. This need, however, implies that eternal energy alone would not satisfy the conscious brain of modern humans unless it also possesses awareness. But can matter have awareness? If matter can demonstrate awareness, then energy, which forms the basis of matter, may also possess awareness.

There are so many articles and theories that discuss the relationship between consciousness and matter. One such theory that has recently started to gain momentum is called Panpsychism.^3 The theory claims that consciousness is not just a property of the brain but rather a property of everything in the universe. Traces of this theory can be found in Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and even in the philosophy of ancient Greece. I suggest that while consciousness applies to complex brains, awareness is a broader concept that can be extended to both animate and inanimate matter. We are the species that discovered the universe and we are conscious of its and our existence. However, we cannot expect inanimate matter to be conscious in the same way. This implies that inanimate matter has awareness because it responds to changes and external stimuli. Since we, humans, are the ones that have to decide whether animate and inanimate matter has awareness, we must observe the behavioral changes of matter under various conditions.

Everything that exists in the universe receives specific types of energy signals. The targeted matter understands the signals in its own special way and responds to that type of communication. Studying the responses of different types of matter to their specific signal or communication demonstrates to us that matter does in fact have awareness. Consequently, I shall start with animate matter followed by inanimate matter to show that both have awareness.

Animate Matter: Evidence of Awareness
Let?s begin by examining animate matter. It is evident that all living organisms with brains possess awareness. They receive and interpret external signals and respond accordingly. However, there are living forms without brains that demonstrate awareness as revealed from the following examples:

Animate Single Cells. The most amazing phenomenon about single cells is their control system. They maintain a potential differential across their membrane. If their potential changes, the cell receives the signal, recognizes the action to undertake, and responds to it. It opens its ion channel ports to allow ions to leave or to enter the cell. Once the potential returns back to its normal status, the cell closes its ports.

Brainless Animals. Simple creatures that cannot generate enough energy to sustain a brain, survive without it. Such creatures are jellyfish, sponges, sea stars, sea cucumber, sea lily, and coral. They only need the most rudimentary biological devices to sense external communication signals such as light, danger, and water currents. These devices are very simple sensors that allow them to detect external signals and respond to them in order to survive.

Trees. Trees communicate with each other through their root network. For example, an infected tree sends distress signal to its neighboring trees. They receive the signal, understand its implications, and respond to it by altering their behavior.^4 .

Roses. I recently experimented in my garden with roses. I planted non-climber roses near a wall and planted in front of them high shrubs to prevent sunlight from reaching the roses. To my surprise, the roses sensed that they were deprived from Sun energy and responded by growing way above the shrubs thus becoming climbers.
Carnivorous Plants. The carnivorous plants attract, trap, consume, and digest insects and small reptiles and animals by their ingenious pitfalls and traps.^5 They sense the presence of their prey and then respond to it. They kill the prey and absorb their nutrients. Most carnivorous plants can grow without consuming their prey but if they do, they grow and reproduce much faster.

These examples suggest that animated matter exhibits a form of awareness, which may imply that energy itself is aware.

Inanimate Matter: A More Challenging Case
It is more challenging to prove that inanimate matter has awareness, but there are intriguing examples that suggest it does. From the quantum world to the behavior of large celestial bodies, inanimate matter seems to respond to external energy signals in a way that could be interpreted as awareness. Consider the following:

Quantum World & Golden Ratio. It seems that the golden ratio was discovered in the quantum world. ?Researchers from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin fur Materialien und Energie (HZB), in cooperation with colleagues from Oxford and Bristol Universities, as well as the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK, have for the first time observed a nanoscale symmetry hidden in solid state matter. They have measured the signatures of a symmetry showing the same attributes as the golden ratio.?^6 Their frequencies (pitch) are in the ratio of (1.618) which is the golden ratio. How is this possible if they did not receive and respond to an external stimulus?

Electrons. An electron is a stable sub-atomic particle with a negative charge. According to Coulomb?s law, a French physicist, particles with same electric charge repel each other while particles with opposite charge attract each other. So, when an electron approaches a negatively charged particle, it receives a repelling signal and respond to it, and vice versa.

Atoms. When an atom loses an electron, it becomes a positively charged ion. But when it picks up an extra electron, it becomes a negatively charged ion. The ions behave in the same way as electrons with respect to encountering each other.

Photons. According to the theory of relativity, the gravitational force from huge stars, galaxies and star clusters can curve the fabric of space-time. This will cause the light that passes near them to bend from its usual straight path. This phenomenon happens because the beam of light receives an external powerful signal and responds to it.

Moon/Earth. Scientists believe that the Moon is spiraling at present away from the Earth. If that is the case, then the Moon was at a much nearer distance to Earth when the solar system was born 4.6 billion years ago. It is now receding at a rate of 3.8 cm per year, whereas, it was receding, at the time the solar system was born, at the rate of 10 km per year.  Let us assume that the Moon was receding from Earth at an average rate of 5 cm during its life time. This would mean that the Moon had recessed, to date, by 230,000 km. The Moon?s closest perigee is 356,000 km.  So, the minimum distance that ever occurred between the Earth and the Moon was 135,000 km. At such a distance, the gravitational force between the two would have been at least 7 times the present one. Tidal waves are caused by the Moon?s gravitational forces. This means the oceans will receive the changes of the Moon?s gravitational forces and respond to them by reducing the strength of the tidal waves.

Planets. All the planets revolve around the Sun in defined orbits. If for any reason a planet is dislodged nearer or farther away from the Sun, all the other planets will receive the new gravitational fields and respond by re-adjusting their trajectory around the Sun.

Sun, The Sun has a solar cycle of approximately 11 years whereby its magnetic field flips from north to south and vice versa.^7 This happens because the Sun?s inner magnetic dynamo receives energy signals to which it responds by re-organizing itself. The Sun?s output energy as well as its gravitational force effects Earth?s climate. The Earth has three cycles called Milankovitch cycles.^8 They are: orbital eccentricity, axial tilt and axial precession.

The orbital path of the Earth around the Sun changes. It goes from a near circle to a pronounced ellipse. The duration it takes from a low eccentricity to a high, and back again to a low, is 100,000 years. This means, due to the orbital eccentricity, the distance of Earth from the Sun varies with time causing climatic changes.

The axial tilt of the Earth is the main reason for having the four seasons. The angle of the axial tilt is not constant; it changes between 22.5 and 24.5 degrees. The calculated period for the axial tilt to change from 22.5 to 24.5 and back to 22.5 is 41,000 years. It is believed that the 2 degrees shift in tilt causes climate changes on Earth.

The top of the Earth?s axis moves and traces an imaginary circle every 26,000 years, known as axial precession. Because of this wobbling effect, it is believed, climate changes occur on Earth.

When Earth receives changes from the Sun in output energy or gravitational forces, it responds to them by adjusting its three cycles accordingly.

Black Holes Black holes release bursts of energy at regular intervals. This phenomenon is confirmed in the paper ?black holes are the rhythm at the heart of galaxies?.^9 It reads as follows:

?The powerful black holes at the center of massive galaxies and galaxy clusters act as the hearts to the systems. The black holes pump energy out at regular intervals to regulate the growth of the black hole themselves, as well as star formation, according to new data from NASA?s Chandra X-ray Observatory, scientists from the University of Michigan, the Max-Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Germany, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and Jacobs University in Germany contributed to the results?. This probably indicate that black holes have awareness.

Galaxies. There is a gigantic gravitational center in the intergalactic space called ?the Great Attractor? which is exerting a gravitational pull on our galaxy including many other  neighboring galaxies. These galaxies sensed the gravitational pull and responded by moving towards the Attractor at a very high speed of 2.1 million km/hr.

Solids, Liquids and Gas respond to different types of incoming energies. Temperature causes them to expand and contract or to change their property. For example, water can be solid, liquid or vapor depending on the temperature command. Pressure changes gas into liquid. Resonant frequencies can shatter glass or collapse a bridge. Flash points ignite solids, liquids and gases. Earth?s magnetic field leaves in volcanic lava its imprint direction whether from north to south or vice versa. Also, electrical potential can cause gas to glow.

These examples suggest that inanimate matter exhibits a form of awareness, which may imply that energy itself is aware.

POST 2/2 CONTINUATION

Bridging the Gap Between Science and Religion
The idea that both animate and inanimate matter have awareness leads to the concept that energy itself possesses awareness. The question that follows is: what could be the relationship between eternal energy with awareness (Eea) and eternal mass with awareness (Mea)?

Our universe is made from matter; matter is made from molecules; and molecules are made from atoms. Atoms are made from sub-atomic particles which are the building blocks of physical matter. The energy from the BBBH, when expanded, created the sub-atomic particle and it is energy that caused the sub-atomic particles to combine and  form atoms, molecules and eventually matter. This process implies that there is a direct relationship between energy and mass expressed in Albert Einstein?s equation E = M x C^2.  Replacing E by Eea and M by Mea gives the desired relationship:

Eea = Mea ? C^2

This equation proposes that energy with awareness, Eea, is the catalyst behind the creation of the universe, aligning with both scientific principles (where energy and mass are eternal) and religious views (where an eternal energy with awareness might be seen as the creator of the universe).

Further Support for the Hypotheses
To support this hypothesis, I considered the values of the universal constants that are necessary to form a universe. For example:

The value of the gravitational constant (G) should fall within a specific range (X) in order for a universe to form. The gravitational force (F) is given by the following equation:

F= G x (M1 x M2 / r^2)

If (M1 x M2 / r^2) is unchanged, then the value of (F) depends on the value of (G).

1-If (G) < (X), then the mass from the expanded or exploded Big Bang Black Hole will disperse in space because the gravitational force will be very weak. This means a universe will not form. The possibility is remote because our universe exists.

2-If (G) > (X), then the mass from the expanded BBBH will fall back on itself forming a new black hole because the gravitational force will be very strong. This phenomenon will keep on repeating and thus a universe will not form. Again, the possibility is remote because our universe exists.

3-If (G) = (X), then the mass from the expanded BBBH will form a universe. In this case, the black hole will only expand  after a time frame in order to have (G) = (X).  We can conclude that the dynamic energy process that takes place inside the BBBH will not permit its expansion except at the right time to form a universe. I wish to expand further on this idea.

My professional experience in process control engineering covered a wide range of industrial projects. It included Sulfuric, Phosphoric, Granulation, Glass, Cement, Aluminum, Sea Water Desalination, and Beat Root Sugar factories in addition to Crude Oil Pipe Lines, Floating Roof Tank Farms, Pumping and Blending White Product Stations. Even though their automatic process control systems differ for different factories, they have one common denominator. They will not discharge until they have completed their specific process. For example:

I have executed the process control system for 8 distillation plants in Kuwait back in the early 70?s. Their total output of distilled water was 31 million imperial gallons per day. Each desalination plant has a discharge automatic control valve. The valve will not open until the PH of the water inside the plant reaches a preset value. By analogy, a BBBH can be considered the factory for a universe. The challenge is to know the inside process before it converts into a universe.

Conclusion and

1. The Heart?s Little Brain. The heart was considered until recently as a blood pump. However, new research has shown that it is a highly complex self-organizing information center with its own brain. It has a complex, intrinsic, and sophisticated nervous system. It contains about 40,000 specialized neurons similar to those found in the cranial brain and it is called the heart ?Little Brain?. Its elaborate circuitry enables it to function, operate, and process information independently of the cranial brain. It remembers, learn, feel, sense, make decisions and transmit and receive electromagnetic signals.^10a,b This raises the possibility that our heart ?Little Brain? could be connected to faith, while the cranial brain is more aligned with science. However, both might ultimately arrive at the same conclusion: Eea is the creator of the universe.

2. The Role of Eea. I believe the function of Eea is different from the function of Mea. Eea is the ?commander? while Mea (mass and awareness) acts as the ?executioner?. Together, they form a dynamic system where Eea sends energy commands to Mea to shape the universe as we know it. This relationship can be envisaged as an open loop control system. Eea could be represented by a master controller while Mea could be represented by many sub-controllers. The master controller sends different types of energy commands to the sub-controllers. The subs receive them, understand their language (addresses) in their own way and then respond to the command. This means that Eea exists everywhere inside and outside animate and inanimate matter. There is no need to look for it because it exists in you and me.

3. The Universe as a Factory. Since Eea is the ?commander?, our universe maybe considered as a factory of massive products such as galaxies, stars, planets, and moons. The estimated manufactured quantity of galaxies in our visible universe is about 2 trillion containing an estimate of 200 billion trillion  stars.

One wonders as to whether all the existing stars are one of a kind in this universe. Most probably the answer is no. There should be identical manufactured  products among this humongous quantity of stars similar to identical products we manufacture in our factories. If we assume that there is one identical Sun in one million trillion stars, we can conclude that there are 200 million identical solar systems to our own.

The identical solar systems will have Earth-identical planets evolving or already evolved in the  same way as on our planet Earth. This means that few of these planets may still have microscopic life, others may have dinosaurs, while others may have you and me. The challenge is to pin point their location and improvise a method for communication such as alien-human entanglement.^11

3. The Big Bang and Recurrent Cycles. The Big Bang theory suggests that the universe began from a singularity. So, it is quite possible that Eea alternates between two forms. One is in a BBBH in which it hibernates for billions of years after consuming all what exists. At some point, after completing its process, it will have a massive expansion thus creating a universe, being the second form. When the universe starts losing its energy, to possibly neighboring universes, it expands. Ultimately, it joins other neighboring universes overloading them with energy. The excess energy that these universes receive will cause them to collapse into one or many BBBHs. This could explain the cyclic nature of cosmological events, leading to a cycle of rebirth and transformation.

Final Thoughts
It took Eea 9.2 billion years to create our solar system and another 4.6 billion years to create our species. We live on a grain of sand, a ?Pale Blue Dot?, that provide us with all the necessities for survivor.^12 It is about time for the conscious brains of humans to seek Eea in order to rewire their neurons so that they can start their inner most ?powerful generator of love? that Einstein mentioned in a letter to his daughter. We are all born equal and we need the energy of love, ?the most powerful force there is, because it has no limits?, to heal the world.^13

I wish to end by saying that energy most probably existed from eternity. If it has awareness, then maybe the universe is not so cold and an indifferent factory, but a living presence that observes, adapts, and evolves .I leave you with this thought, dear readers. Perhaps the question is not just whether eternal energy is aware but whether we are aware enough to recognize it.
