Why is sky blue?

Can someone please clearify that why is sky only blue why not any other color? [:-\]

Because all the molecules in the air absorb all the other colors of the spectrum. Only blue light is not absorbed.
And maybe (not sure about this though) some molecules absorb some light and excite blue light.

Sometimes the sky is a whole range of colours !!...which is nice !
