Well if I get dropped on the floor you will need more then cutlery to get me up!! You will have to employ a lift! LOL My old bones are having a hell of a fight with the floor lately! LOL!

Cutlery....it's my all time favourite utensils used for cutting and eating food !!

Now, I was going to do this as a poll but I decided against it on two counts...1: Peeps may be embarrassed to answer honestly....(even if the answer is anonymous) and 2: MY polls are always poorly attended !! *le sulk*

So, I will just ask your advice instead !

Is it hygienically safe to immediately use a piece of cutlery that has just fallen on a clean floor ? or should one either get a new one out of the drawer or just wash the one that has fallen ?

it depends if your floor is properly mopped than there cleaning it up is enough. But it falls over something cringy, then better to throw It away.

Filthiness....... it's not what goes in, but what comes out, of the mouth.   If you truly realized the stuff you eat, it world probably make you queasy.   The alimentary canal is outside of your body, and many foreign lifeforms must be farmed there, for you to live.  If you had a diet of sterile food.......you would die.  Your body needs the incoming filth.

Just to be safe, you can wash your cutlery after it's been dropped on the floor. It's not necessary to get new cutlery.
