That was quite lovely.. I am sorry it burnt down.. what a shame.... what was housed in the building? Was it a temple or place of worship?

Not sure.. But it was the oldest woodwork in Seoul..
And  it was the city gate..
It burnt down not too long ago!

Thats sad.. The city gate? You  mean a "gate" gate.. like open and closing gate.. or a welcome building to the city!

MAybe they will rebuild it like the old one in honor of the first one!

Like a welcome building to the city..
There was a southern gate and a eastern gate..
The southern one is namdaemun which burnt down a month or two ago..
The eastern gate is still here, but is less old

If you don't already have a  free photobucket account.. go to photobucket registe get a password and upload your photo up to photobucket then copy and paste the whole URL in its full addresS INTO THE IMAGING BRACKETS AND POST..
