too easy eh ?
I even asked my kid, who answered the same with almost no hesitation.
Sheepy needs to strain more to get the hard ones out, or take some baaaaxative.

Look inside - but why bother? The woman is correct - ask any woman.

*nerd-geeky mode- I recall one episode from Star Trek TNG, one character quotes " women aren't human....they're Women"

If you can't remove any wine from the barrel, who cares how much there is?

Given some reasonable assumptions about symmetry...

Spoiler: show
Tilt the barrel until the wine just reaches the rim, then look to see if you can see any of the bottom of the  barrel.

Without a lid it is no longer wine, it has turned to vinegar.

Not if you drink it first. Don't know about you, but I always open the bottle before pouring.

Actually I don't drink wine at all, I find it headache inducing. These days I only drink beer but in my misspent youth I would have drunk any alcoholic beverage, excluding meths and ipa( which I am told can be consumed but obviously not a good idea ). I believe the sheep's answer is 11.

Depends on your interpretation of "won". The answer could be 8. Suppose L won the first 5 games, then lost the next 3? I have an acquaintance who boasted of having won $50,000 before 8 pm in Las Vegas. His wife asked where the money was, and he said "I lost it all by midnight".

The wine barrel question works just as well with beer. Or even water. The trick, of course, is neutron radiography - never fails to determine the depth of water, even in a steel tank.

Only if you do the tally before the end of play. I assume the OS( original sheep ) meant when finished.

WELL DONE:

Eleven. Because Lisa lost three games to Susan, she had lost ?3 (?1 per game). So, she had to win back that ?3 with three more games, then win another five games to win ?5.

I could equally argue that your circle/square statement was badly phrased: initially you said "the same area" but when questioned by Hamdani and me you said "exactly the same area". If you had said the latter in the original statement I believe there would have been no confusion. Touche′!

Bloody engineers, obsessed with "good enough". When I say "the same" I mean "the same", not "try this - we'll change the paintwork next week"!

On the plus side, that's why you can never replace a storekeeper with a computer. "We've run out of 46Js but the 38L does the same job if you drill out the mounting hole a bit".
