What pets do you have?
« on: 03/05/2009 00:18:08 »
'Ey thar, everyone,

Here is Agatha, my pet wolf spider. she has a family to feed so he is trying to find a baby cockroach or a fly to feed them.  She obviously has found one or two as she is growing.

What pets - other than a cat or a dog - do you have and how strange are they?

You lay on your back and wait to have your stomach scratched by your pet human?

My pet is a Parson Jack Russell terrier puppy. A bit clever for naming the breed of my pet, but she does do lots of tricks. [:)] [;)]

This is why we need to disregard the rude man posting the quoted message. He servers no real purpose but to inflame the sensibilities of we mere mortals.

Freddy has stick insects. They are very easy to keep and bonk like crazy. They are getting more than me.

Please all say 'Hi' to vanessa!

She likes crickets, sitting on her flower pot, and trying to destroy her thermometer, then giving up and hugging it. She also communicates the fact that she would like some more water by sitting on her water pot and getting annoyed when you try to move her off it to refill it.

She was named after a certain TV host, due to her tremendous capacity to consume crickets when we first brought her home.

About 10cm I'd guess, probably more if she stretched her legs out.

Yes, it is.

Agatha tells me she is jealous.

But then she met a tarantula once when she was young and has had an inferiority complex ever since. I have had her to the psychiatrist but she didn't help at all. Women!

Ah, there's no need for Agatha to be jealous! Vanessa is a lovely little tarantula. A Chile Rose by the way. But she might eat her.

I know some people do, but we don't handle her. I can't believe it wouldn't cause stress. Her sting and/or bite is no worse than a bad bee/wasp sting. If she was angry, she could flick hairs off her abdomen, and each one of those would feel like a bee sting, so although not horrific, I wouldn't want to experience it!
