Have gravity modification experiments been conducted?
« on: 25/04/2018 06:48:52 »
Discussions on gravity shielding topic tell us that it is not likely (or even possible) to alter/shield gravity.

They also mention that in 20th century, a lot of such experiments were conducted without any success.

One example of such answer is thenakedscientists.com/articles/questions/can-we-make-gravity-shield

Question 1) Is there a list of such experiments that were conducted, and failed.
Has anyone ever compiled a list of such experiments and is that list available?

Otherwise -
2) How can people claim that such experiments were even conducted?
3) Did people know whether a specific method has already been tried?

In addition, the discussions/answers also mention that in 20th century, a lot of such experiments were conducted without any success.
Can you point to the source of these discussions/answers? Are the sources reliable?

@Colin2B : One link is on this site itself - (add www. in the beginning of the link if needed)

thenakedscientists.com/articles/questions/can-we-make-gravity-shield

In this Matt Bothwell says -
"Unfortunately, gravity and electromagnetism are pretty different and, as far as we know, we can’t build gravitational shieldings. There have been lots of experiments through the 20th century to investigate whether this is possible and they’ve all come up negative so, as far as we know, it’s not actually possible."

Gravity affects all matter in a uniform way. Therefore, nothing made of matter can block it. There is not an equivalent to the Faraday cage for gravity.

I get the reasoning. Is there a list of experiments that proved it too?
