Virtual universe is meant to make accurate prediction to help making good decisions.
Why Betting Markets Beat The Experts
Quote
This wasn't unusual - betting markets have often outperformed polls and experts throughout history.
So what should you trust more - the polls or the money? And can we trust something that money can manipulate?
In this video, we explore how prediction markets work, from insurance to sports betting to elections. We'll see how the "wisdom of crowds" (like in Galton's Ox experiment) can produce surprisingly accurate forecasts, why prediction markets correctly called 15 straight US elections, and how these markets efficiently translate collective knowledge into price signals.
We'll examine price discovery mechanisms, risk assessment through market prices, and how information economics helps us understand the difference between probability and price. Whether prediction markets are providing "weather for everything" or potentially reshaping economic forecasting and decision-making - when markets take control, what could possibly go wrong?

Why Your Brain Blinds You For 2 Hours Every Day
Quote
Reality is not real. Your world is a prediction. Every sight, sound, and touch you experience is the result of calculations your brain makes before reality even reaches you. It fills in gaps, fabricates details, and even alters time itself so you feel like you?re in control. But if everything you know is an illusion? what does that say about you? What does it mean for your choices? Is there even free will?
Brain is a naturally emerging virtual universe.

Brain?s Hidden Learning Limits
Quote
A small correction: I didn't mention in this in the video, but the dimensionality-reduction process for BCI was two-stage. First, the source 90D neural activity was non-linearly projected to 10 using Factor analysis, and only after that 2D projections of this 10D space were shown as cursor positions. It doesn't change the interpretation of the result, just wanted to be more technically correct about the methods.

capable of solving problems we can't even comprehend.

Then how do you know it has solved the problem, why do you care, and why do you trust it?

We already have too many philosophers priests and politicians hawking "solutions" to "problems" that they say you can't comprehend, and it just leads to  misery.

In the problem of Go, the most optimal solution in each step maybe beyond our capacity to calculate. But we know that AI is better in making the decision when it consistently beats the best human players.

The whole point of Go, weightlifting, darts, cricket..... is to provide a platform for people to have fun competing against each other. In each case (though I'm not entirely sure about cricket) it is obvious that we could build a machine that could do it better than a human, but what would be the point?

I have played all sorts of mental and physical games and sports from chess to rugby and gliding, and had a lot of fun learning, competing, losing and occasionally winning, but I wouldn't waste one second of my life playing against a machine that can't get drunk and sing rude songs in the bath afterwards.

The point of building a virtual universe is to be better at making decisions in order to improve the probability of survival furthest into the future. Anything else are optional or conditional.
