Yep, got his son out of the war. (Vietnam)
And who wouldn't, given the chance?
Someone trying to lead by example with a reputation to uphold, someone who doesn't participate in gun running. Trump is only as bad as Reagen or Clinton, I do not understand where this new found sense of particularness has come from.

, the conservatives are hellbent on having a balanced budget
Nope, they are hell bent on talking about balancing the budget.
In fact , they aren't good at it.
They have (even before covid) already run up most of the UK's national debt.

Well... yes. But you didn't understand what Johnson had done wrong.

Remember that the post of prime minister has no constitutional authority. It is up to the Cabinet to elect a new chairman if they wish to. Indeed they already had a named deputy, however useless he may have  been in all his previous jobs. But they are a bunch of spineless toadies incapable of asking the Queen to do the decent thing and sack a scumbag.

It's definitely up to the Cabinet to choose a new leader if they feel it's necessary. And yeah, they already had a deputy, but he wasn't very effective in his previous roles. They see the Cabinet as spineless and unwilling to act when it should be frustrating. It's almost like they're afraid to stand up for what's right and ask the Queen or King to work against someone unfit for the job. https://samplius.com/free-essay-examples/politics/ [nofollow] suggests politics essay samples where I read and understand how unpredictable there are sometimes some political persons' deads. They even say something unexpected and contradictory about the EU and UK's leave.

A mere detail in politics. Ask any Irish voter.

They do  not seem to know right from wrong.

not to mention

And Boris's lack of decency is well documented.

Boris Johnson once made nonconsensual eye contact with Vinnie Jones.

is it simply a case of power corrupting?
He was sufficiently corrupt that he got sacked from all his previous jobs before he got into power.

He has been replaced by Dishy Rishi Sunak, un elected by either party or Country who is even more criminal now than his last but one predecessor.

Admittedly trump is now really debasing himself, painting himself as a mix between Jebus Christ  and rambo, he is now become a joke and I do not think even a third of the USA will vote for him.
