Hormones must have something to do with the Animalistic Behaviour.

Perhaps no catalyst but a formative influence or misdirection of a normal impulse or curiosity. According to Freud our interest in sex begins before we can walk or talk, so pedophilia may be something that most people grow out of before they can express it. Or an outlet for a frustrated adult need to be in control of something. Or "stolen apples" - the thrill of doing something you know you shouldn't. Or any of a dozen other psychological or  sociological reasons with no aberrant  chemistry.

All that comes up is 15 ways to prevent it, 50 ways to avoid it blah blah blah!

The only Outlook seems like, Humans are Social Animals.
