Half the internet is Porn and you know what, I like to see a nice plump female rump in action once in a while.

porn is definitly the majority. I used to always look at the internet as a learning tool, but when you start seeing naked women on everything, it gets to you.

The history of porn is an interesting one.  Generally, any new technology is quickly adopted by the pornography industry (photography - early film - video...) But it really found it's mucky little home on the internet.  Presumably because there's no risk of embarrassment (no having to go to the adult cinema, or the sex shop to buy videos/dvds), and  there seems to be something to cater to all tastes (including the extreme stuff that even sex shop owners would think you're a pervert for wanting).  The trend of early adoption continues online too.  I believe there were streaming porn videos long before the tv networks decided to stream tv, and clearly webcams were adopted early too.

But, the internet is still a great resource for everything else, so don't be disheartened by all the filth!
