Loads of fun in that club...very atmospheric is a good term...very dark and low lighting which makes things appear alive...even the people!LOL

Next time, if you want to go into the west end. Try L'autre in Shepherds Market. It's a Polish-Mexican restaurant. Not many of them about. I can thoroughly recommend it.

With my husband growing up in England we have travelled back there to visit. I'm sure if I say where he is from someone will have something to say about it, so best I leave that as I was not taken back by its beauty either. On the outer skirts of the town it is amazingly gorgeous and from Scotland, Ireland, Wales straight down to the south end of England the majority is breathtaking.
However, the one place that always comes to mind when I think of England is the Magpie Inn in Whitby (west coast, north of York) Whether it be that finally I got a great meal at a very reasonable price or the fact that finally I could get something I felt was healthy and delicious with vegies and not cost me a bucket load.
Not to say other restaurants etc didn't offer anything special but this for some reason has just stayed with me for many years.
Or Neil, for really supperb meals another couple of great restaurants, just down the road!!!, you will find in many restaurant locations in Melbourne Australia!!! (and without blowing my horn as I am Australian) Melbourne is definately the Restaurant Capital. We have every walk of life here cooking their speciality and if you can't find it, it simply does not exist.
I love to travel and I love to experience new dishes. I will definately look over this post when I return to England later this year for more favourite restaurants.

Wow! Sounds pretty cool! I can't wait to go myself to the capital and check it out all of your scrumptious food...but I am pretty full right now, so food is not appetizing at all...Thanks Jam!
