When I stopped being sexual completely the problem disappeared. All the pills, powders, vitamins, teas, patches, shots and therapies avoid the only important question: If you're doing something that hurts you, why don't you stop? The "POIS BOYS" have also discovered that being a eunuch doesn't solve the problem either. We are sexual beings, given nature's gift of orgasm.Several of us have found wonderful solutions with "patches, pills, etc.", and on the verge of finding even better ones. Not to hide a problem, but to SOLVE a neurochemical/physiological problem, i.e., hormal imbalance, neurotransmitter deficiency and the like.

laurac, thanks for posting that interesting article link. I understand these steroids work in synergy to block sperm production. and could potentially help with POIS symptoms.
An update on my experience with olive leaf extract:For the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with olive leaf extract. I’ve been using Barlean’s Olive Leaf Complex, and my typical dosage has been to take 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) daily, in a single serving. I have also experimented with supplementing that with additional servings in the time period surrounding an O.I’ve found that in general, there is noticeable improvement in my POIS, particularly in the brainfog realm. However, I’ve still often felt emotionally sensitive and irritable. Still, it has done a good job in helping to alleviate the tortuous ‘really bad feeling’ that would otherwise accompany my POIS. Recently, though, I’ve started formulating a bit of a theory as to the ideal form of taking it. I think that it may be most effective if taken a couple of hours before O. My sense is that taking it right before O, or after O, or the next morning, may not be as effective. That is, there may be a factor by which the olive leaf takes a little while after ingestion to become ‘active’ and helps to prevent the bad cycle from starting in its full force. In contrast, taking it too soon before O may not allow it to become active soon enough, and taking it after O may have less of an effect once the bad cycle has already begun. This past Friday night, I O’d, and I had taken a few servings throughout the day, all of them at least two hours before the O (I’d estimate 2 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours before the O). On Saturday, I felt generally pretty OK—some tiredness, but the POIS never ‘crossed the threshhold’ into its typical strength. (There have been some times in the past few months when I O, and then for the early part of the next day the POIS seems to ‘teeter on the brink’ before hitting me.) I’d estimate that yesterday’s experience was about a 60 to 80 percent cure. So that’s good!A few reflections on my experience: When matsoda described his success with olive leaf, he said that he would put it in a water bottle so that it would be “consumed throughout the day.” He also said that he took extra after each O. But I wonder whether it might be the ‘throughout the day’ part that was most significant: i.e. if he was consuming it throughout the day, then it would have been entering his system at least a couple hours before his O. Note also that he did not have a complete cure, but that the symptoms were reduced to ‘a fraction of the original condition.’ So there may be things to work out regarding not only amount of dosage, but timing of dosage—and, if it really needs to be a couple hours before O, this might be a less intuitive thing to think of right off the bat. Also, in Limejuice’s success with the larger dose of progesterone, he also noted that he needed "to [ingest] at least 1.5 hours before activity and no longer than 12 hours before.” So there might be a similar timing-dynamic at play there. If he’s currently taking a smaller dosage, but everyday, then it could still have the ‘throughout the day’ effect.Lastly, in addition to helping my POIS, the olive leaf had an immediate and wonderful effect on another problem I’d had: I had had warts on my fingers and on my toes for the two years or so, and also plantar warts on the bottom of one foot for the past 15 (!) years or so. Immediately after starting the olive leaf, the warts on my hands and toes starting disappearing, and they’re now completely gone! The 15-year-old plantar warts have also almost disappeared! And, this was all from taking the olive leaf internally, without any external application. (I’d tried external treatments before, but they didn’t work, and may even have made the warts spread.) So, if it had that internal effect, I’m guessing that it could have been from stimulating my immune system to fight the wart virus. It also indicates that perhaps my immune system hadn’t been strong enough to fight the warts on its own—so I wonder if this might point, indirectly, to an immune connection to POIS. Perhaps my immune system is also not strong enough on its own to suppress the chain reaction after an O.[I should note that for part of the time for the past few months, I was also taking grapefruit seed extract, but my sense was that the positive effects came primarily from the olive leaf extract. I’ve also been taking vitamin D for the past year or so, but I hadn’t really noticed much of an effect from that, although it might have built up gradually.]Anyway, that’s my update—make of it what you will!
demografxi have another list of researchers for youand they are a couple of miles from me, so i'd be able to meet with em in person if you get any responses, as a test subject or liaison or w/ehttp://utmc.utoledo.edu/patientguests/justforphysicians/clinicalresearch/contactus.htmlthey are highly regarded nationally, and "The Carnegie Foundation classified the university as "Doctoral/Research Extensive."

I had a CAT scan of my testicles today.

I had a CAT scan of my testicles today. The radiographer doing the scan said there is a problem with one of the sperm ducts being too narrow on my right one (words to that effect).I then explained how I feel fatigue after orgasm for about 3 days and wondered if there are testosterone or hormonal problems. He said "it looks physical to me" and its something to take further with my doctor.
This is compatible to my situation. The vasectomy reversal left the "sperm ducts" hard (scar tissue) and restricted, although apparantly open.
