We have tons of them here next to me in the woods... They were my favorite place to be as a child it was a area filled with trillium and bluebells... where some filtered light shined through the trees in amongst the redwoods oaks and pepperwoods that were mixed with pine and fir as well.... and not to forget the waterfall. I think our weather is pretty damp here in Humboldt.. lots of rain and fog.. nice temps overall.. not to hot or too cold.... I think we are comparable to you in england for winter rains etc... and we boarder the ocean also!
It was awesome.. I don't even know these days if its still blooming.. they cut down all the redwoods and let scrub oak pines and a couple pepperwoods. I have not been down there for a long time.. I know the waterfall is still there as my kids have been down there, and I worry that the flowers have been destroyed with the logging they did... Someday I hope to be able to get down in there again,, It is a trek I cannot make at this point with out a bush man cutting a path .. It has really grown up!
