When i lay down i always get the feeling that something is crawling around inside my ear (eeek), but could bugs or spiders survive and make families in there?

I DID have what I thought was water in my ear for a week !.....I could hear crackling as if the ear was clogged and de-clogging ....
..then one day....Upon one of my many attempts to tilt my head and knock my head.........out fell a little spider...no bigger than your smallest fingernail !....I couldn't believe it !!....I picked it up and put it outside. I think the spider was happier than me.....my ear returned to normal immediately !!
Isn't ear wax a natural bug deterrent ?

They could if you have ear mites. (Har, har, har) My dogs and cats got them all the time.
Mites are related to spiders.
I have no idea about ear wax being a deterrent. That question belongs in "Physiology & Medicine." Beter post it there or you will be reported to moderators.

Anything that lives in your ear would need to have a method for obtaining food. Technically speaking, I think a tick could live in your ear because it would have permanent access to a food source: your blood.
