what happens to bacteria when they die?-do they go mouldy?

same thing taht happens to other living organismas when they die. Chances are (if they are exposed to mold) that mold will grow on them. However, to be a sufficient food source for any coilony of fungi, you would most likely need an entire colony of dead bacteria. There isn't much bio mass to a single bacterium.

I am not sure of the exact size differentiation but aren't mold to big to grow on bacteria. I think when bacteria are killed or die then they are absorbed by whatever is around them. Perhaps even other bacteria absorbs the nutrients.
