in a relatively short time could the barycenter leave the earths surface?
the Earth would become a binary planet with the Moon
If we set the calculation, we can find that the current Sun - Moon gravitational force is stronger than the Earth - Moon gravitational force. So, technically, based on that force ratio, it is expected that the Moon will prefer to orbit directly around the Sun.
