I agree mostly with wim however, I believe a person can succeed when money is the only motivation, and often succeed greatly, but I don't think that person will ever feel personally fulfilled.

Personally, I always loved biology, especially marine biology.  When it came time to decide my area of pursuit, I didn't think I could make a living as a marine biologist, thus, with a general interest in all things biological, and an affinity for helping people, I chose a career in medicine.  Therefore my decision was based to a significant degree on money.

Move the clock forward 20 years.  I now run a busy practice, but since I chose family practice, the financial rewards never materialized.  However, I am more or less content in my capacity to help the Human Race in my little corner of the world.  Yet,I still have an ache in my heart to study the metabolic processes of some forgotten organism in the South Pacific, so am I fulfilled?

I see some physicians(specialists) run thier practice merely to maximize profits without the love of medicine.  They earn a great deal of money, yet I wouldn't consider them "successful"

I am not on the law society register because I am not a solicitor yet DUH!!!! I am a student and I will not be on the register for at least two years (maybe more) DUH!!!!

oh nice to see the high quality of canadiate that a career in the legal profession attracts.

how do you know i will have no support here, is that perhaps because they don't know your true colours ...

as for having to resort to  profanity so quickly... i really do despair , espeically for one who aspires to advocacy in the higher courts  where  well constructed prose and sound reasoning is the  stock in trade of the advocate.

 perhaps one day, you might gain some insight into why you have found yourself in the positions you have...
 
and if Ambulance 999 offends you so much why did you  create a sock puppet  after you were banned ? every wondered why some of 'pas' posts to the firstaidcafe  take so long to be approved if ever?
